We are delighted to announce that we have extended our partnership with Love British Food for another year and are planning lots of exciting activity with this fantastic organisation throughout 2012, including British Food Fortnight which runs from 27th July – 12th August this year.
This year is going to be a big celebration of all things British with not only the Olympic Games but the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee taking place this summer. Love British Food is an excellent source of information on everything British, from which products are in season to how you can get involved in promoting British products. To help with your celebrations, we've got over 1000 products to help you to serve British on your menus.
What we have coming up
We will soon be bringing out our new guide to British food that will give you all the ideas and inspiration you will need to showcase the best of Britain on your menu. Our guide will be packed full of advice on trends, marketing ideas, recipes and menu solutions.
Our chef development team have also been busy creating some modern British classic dishes to add to our Own Brand collection. To give you an idea of what to expect, they have created dishes such as pork belly with sticky apricot and thyme, chicken and four counties cheese wellington, and blackcurrant, elderflower and vanilla pudding. There will be fifteen new options that will give you an exciting home-grown choice to give your customers.
Look out too for our great British cheeseboard selection. A classic cheeseboard should have five different and varied cheeses on it and our cheeseboard range will give you a host of options to choose from. So you can build your own unique and regional board, ready to tempt your diners with.
Starting in April we will also have special offers on various British products, check our promotions tab at the top of the page regularly to see what fantastic offers we will be putting on.
What does British mean to us?
To qualify as a 'British product', the main source of ingredients needs to come from a British source. We’ve got over 1000 products that have at least 65% British ingredients, so you can be sure to find something tasty for your menu.
