Our free waste oil recycling scheme is a great way to actively reduce the carbon footprint of your business.
All of the waste oil that we recycle is converted into environmentally friendly bio-diesel, which is then used to fuel our vehicles. Currently, 70% of our fleet is fuelled by a bio-diesel mix thanks to your waste cooking oil.
We work with a specialist waste-to-energy company, Convert2Green, who collect the waste oil on our behalf and produce a high grade bio diesel. All of the oil is recycled at their production facility in Cheshire and then mixed with standard diesel.
The bio diesel mix we use (called B30 – 30% pure bio diesel and 70% standard diesel) reduces our carbon emissions on the road by around 23%, when compared with regular diesel fuel.
Since we started the scheme with your help we have reduced the carbon emissions in our supply chain by over 20,000 tonnes which is a fantastic achievement – thank you!
The scheme has been awarded assurance to ISO 14064. This relates to the management of greenhouse gases and we are currently the only foodservice company in Europe to hold this. We are extremely proud of the scheme and this assurance is testimony to its strength and credibility.

After calling for collection, our recycling partner will visit to pick up your waste oil. Ideally we ask that the oil is kept in its original container, as these containers are also recycled. However, if you generate large volumes and require some help with storage, please ask about our free storage barrels that we can loan you.
Convert2Green can also organise a regular collection schedule so you don’t need to keep requesting collections. The minimum volume of oil for collection is 60 litres, but if you struggle to reach this amount and are in need of a collection, please do call them and they will do their best to help out.
